!Wacky Wednesday!

On Wacky Wednesday we dressed up wacky! We dressed as animals and other things. All the teachers were dressed up really wacky, I dressed up as an animal which was a bunny. I found it a bit funny that my bunny ears kept falling off and it had been going up and down a lot. I learnt how to make bunny ears and attach them to a hair band,  it was kind of hard to find a bunny tail that's fake but I managed to find something to make as a bunny tail which was a chain that had a black fluffy pom pom. We also took some photos on the deck on the stairs.

Having PAL day again!

In Te Maunga we did PAL day again. We had played Green Light, Red Light, Tug Of War, playing soccer with a big ball and Rob The Nest. Green Light, Red Light is about a person that will have to say green light and then the players will have to run to the doll and try not to get caught moving when the doll says red light. If you don’t want to get caught, you have to go behind someone. Also if you get caught you have to go back and restart running, if you are the first one to the hill you get to be the doll. My favourite part was playing red light, green light and also my other favourite thing to do is Tug of War. The hardest thing I had done and was really challenging was green light, red light because I keep losing and going back to the start.

Learning about volcanoes and Earthquakes!!

In Te Maunga we learnt about Earthquakes and Volcanoes. We learnt a couple of names about some volcanoes and one name was Eyjafjallajokull. The dormant volcano last erupted about 250 years ago. It was a very beautiful mountain. The tourists visit the mountain to ski, climb and look at it’s amazing scenery. The Eyjafjallajokull had started an eruption in Iceland. This volcano had erupted under the ice and the heat from the eruption had melted the ice. About 800 people had to evacuate away from the volcano because there was lava flowing. My favourite thing to learn was finding things about volcanoes!

Pal day!

On the last day of Term 3 we played activities at school! We played 4 games and there was one that was about trying to score a goal but with a noodle floatie. We couldn't use anything else except the noodle, we had to push the ball into the goal and it wasn’t that hard! The next one I did was riding on a scooter or bike and going around some cones. At first I won but then I lost the next round when I was riding a bike. The next thing was throwing darts but not real ones and we had points that we landed on. The last thing I did was throw some tennis balls and try to score it in a bucket! One thing I liked doing was throwing the tennis balls in the bucket!

Nanogirl coming over to our school!!!

In Te Maunga a girl called Nanogirl came over to our school! We learnt about some stuff that she did like learning if a giant volleyball can float up the air with a leaf blower. She also picked people to come up on stage with her for the science things she wanted to do. My favourite part was the one where she had to pick two people with her and put a cup on one of the person's heads, and then try to blow it off your head! My other favourite part was that she had this weird cannon thing and it was big. She shot it and it looked like smoke but shaped as a ring!! The very last thing is the one where she had fire on her hands.

mind blowing facts about my Matariki work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In Te Maunga we have been doing Matariki. We learnt some stuff about it in the stories about what happened and what their names were, we also learnt that there was one Matariki star that has no name, it was nameless. My favourite part about Matariki was taking notes and reading the stories about Matariki that have facts about it.
